Feature

Punch-In by Lyrics

Say "punch in on verse 2" or tap a section label. DAWG cues the beat to the right spot, counts you in, and starts recording. No scrolling through a timeline to find bar 47.

How It Works

  1. Beat analysis creates the section map — verse, hook, bridge, intro, outro — all labeled and clickable on the timeline.
  2. Tap or speak — click a section label, or tell the AI assistant "punch in on the hook." DAWG jumps to the right bar.
  3. Count-in and record — DAWG gives you a count-in so you enter on beat. Recording stops automatically at the section boundary.
  4. Stack takes per section — every take is tagged to its section. Re-record the hook without touching the verse.

Why This Matters

Traditional punch-in means setting in/out points on a timeline and hoping you got the right bars. DAWG flips this — you think in song sections (verse, hook, bridge) and the software handles the timecodes.

Record the hook. Not bar 47.

DAWG speaks your language — sections and lyrics, not timecodes.
